Susten Pass is a mountain pass in the Swiss Alps, connecting the canton (region) of Uri and the canton of Bern. The road is around 45km in length, and was the first mountain pass road built specifically for vehicles, constructed between 1938 - 1945. The road follows the Meienreuss River for long portions, and has a staggering 26 bridges and tunnels along the way, including a 300-meter long tunnel near the summit.
